Frederick joined the 2nd Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. He went over to France on 4th January 1915 and was killed on 12th March 1915. His name is on Le Touret Memorial, France.
Frederick Charles Todd was born (June) 1880 in the Holborn District of London to Sarah and John Todd a leather bag maker. The 1881 census shows the family living at 114 St. John’s Road, Clerkenwell, London. The family have moved to 17 King Edward Road, Islington (1891 census) and then to 320 Upper St, Islington. The family is large with 8 children by 1901, Caroline, Sarah, Ernest, Frederick Charles, Maud Mary, George William Alfred, Albert Edward Thomas and Clara. There are several people in Folkestone with the surname Todd but a direct connection between Frederick and Christ church has not been found yet!
